Getting ready to pressure wash the Grime off |
Trying to wash off the red grime with Simple Green and my pressure washer was mostly a waste of time. Down in the motor mount area, the Red Crud just wouldn't budge. So I went to the next level of removal:

Harbor Freight 4-1/2" Angle grinder and knotted wire wheels. |
The knotted wire wheels did a good job removing all of the Red Crud and the old paint as well.
I was going to try to use the regular wire cup wheel for some detail work, but it suffered from the legendary Harbor Freight build quality:

Motor Section Before Cleaning - Red Crud everywhere... Uhggggg |

Finally, no more Red Crud :) |
This weekend I finally settled on Bejamin Moore Enamel and the matching primer. Here is the bottom with the fist coat of primer applied.
